Bad weather hit about 20 miles both north east and south west of us. We got a ton of rain, pea sized.hail and semi strong winds but nothing substantial. My grand daughter looked out the screen door during the storm and said look paw paw it's a river, the Nile river. I said the Nile River? and where is the Nile River located? she said in egypt silly paw paw. How she comes up with this stuff is beyond me... She's only 3 1/2 years old but going on 15.

Just about then a.big.ole.clasp of lightning hit close. She screamed.and jumped.in.my lap.and said you will save me.paw paw - sure i will.o said. Then shortly after that loud and long tunder ratteled the house and she screamed and grabbed hold of my neck so tight I could hardly breathe. Little kids are.so awesome - God's gifts.to the world.

Strong storms rip through Southern Illinois on Tuesday night ---> http://thesouthern.com/news/local/s...5c9531e1-74b5-52ca-8876-9db3ff7136dd.amp.html

I do believes springis.close.by.although it was 70 today but forecast for hard frost tonight. It just can't.make.up it's mind.

Here too. We helped with tornado cleanup just north of us for the last two weeks. 80° yesterday, freeze tonight. Yep, it's spring.

@CrealCritter, that little one sure is smart! And she's got a terrific grandpa!

Garden wise, my plants are still waiting. But I built three more raised beds yesterday. That make 6 new ones for this year.

I have read about pruning tomatoes. Never tried it myself. Seems you have an opportunity to learn! :pop
