picked dry beans this morning until it got too hot out there and not enough of a breeze to make it tolerable. at least i got the worst of the bean patches that needed it mostly picked through.

melons are ripening and today was time to pick a few more.

tomatoes should get picked through tomorrow morning and i'll get some of them canned somehow.

temperature for tomorrow is supposed to be cool so it would be a good day to mow and i better get that done. temperatures then creep back up during the week back to where we're at now again. a few days cooler break is fine with me. probably need to water.

Well after 4 hours of Milling the sorghum cane 6 gallons of liquid then 6 gallons in the evaporator we got 5 pints of sweet sorghum syrup.
Best part we have more areas to cut and mill.

Farm babe is currently making ketchup. Step 1. Cook 25 lbs of roma tomatoes in a 18 quart roaster oven on low (250 F), for like 24 hours.25 lbs is net weight after trimming, she has superior quality control standards 😘

These are sugar cakes? OMG! I used to eat those when little. Well, not eat them but chew on them for the sweet stuff and then spit the fibers, lol it was like chewing tobacco back in the days.

Swerve makes low carb alternatives for various sugars. The wife can't use it because it is derived from the ragweed family.

I can find very little information on Swerve except there's apparently some video game called Swerve 🙄. Found some info on Amazon questions

I'm going to send in a question to my Dr. See what he has to say about me using as a sugar substitute.

Thanks FJ 👍
