Going to buy okra seeds this year, gonna give it a whirl

I noticed volunteer okra in the garden yesterday. We were warm two weeks ago and cold/cool this past week. It looks strong and healthy.

walked around a little and looked at some crocuses coming up and some chewed on trees. i didn't even know deer would eat these prickly pine trees but i guess they decided they were edible after all.

Ive tilled some. Well first deep tilling to knock down and kill most of the grass. 2nd tilling is shallower and finishes the grass off.

they are bush beans, dark red stems, purple flowers, they work as snap/fresh bean, shellies and dry beans. they aren't what i'd consider a canning bean though as they are not very plump. instead we mostly eat them as fresh steamed and then later as a dry bean or some as shellies depending upon when they get picked.

the pods look like (marked as P2) in this picture but P1 is similar:

Well, they ARE pretty!! Sound quite versatile, too. Those pods should be easy to find in the bush thanks.
