It's sure getting to be that time of year. I had to suck it up yesterday and just deal with it. Had some things I absolutely, positively had to do.

We haven't had rain for weeks, so we've been able to stay ahead of the weeds. It rained a little bit last night and the annual weed seeds are ready to pop up! It's been hard to get garden seeds going between the chipmunks stealing see and DS16 arguing about what "water the garden" means.

i'm glad you were able to do it!
i reach a point where i get rather nauseated so i try to stop before i reach that stage of being. i'm not in this world to be miserable. until i acclimate more i'll hang out in cooler spots. hopefully in a few more weeks i'll have a few more degrees tolerance.

i have similar conversations with Mom. i try to tell her that if she waters properly then things will do better because deeper roots mean the plants will be able to ride out these hot spells better.
might as well be peeing into the wind...

Awful hot. So waited until 8pm to trench for the tomatoes. However, Michigan birds were wild. Freaking 
! Dug 2 lines and gave up.

got the worm buckets ready and then went out to weed and water. did not get things planted but tomorrow will be another day.

Well, was able to take advantage of a cloudy morning and laid 36 tomatoe seedlings down. But the sun became brutal so just planted a straw by the watermelons and marked where the 5 rows for the peppers.
