Maybe you could but them out with a cover to harden them off? Like a cold frame would do but, just group together and plastic??? Well, think on that.. Could work, especially on things like tortoise mentions.

most of mine are tomato and pepper with some herbs-so not too cold hardy. I will just have to report and be patient

After being thrilled to have the extra space to plant in what was formerly the pig pen....first thing I saw this morning was a rabbit checking things out. And even worse, he was not the least bit worried about me. He watched me as much as I watched him. Guess I get to find something to put over the panels so that Mr. Rabbit and family can't get through. Yay - I need something else to do.

Yesterday tractor, farm truck and I set these 6 inch round treated posts in cement. This will become our concord grape vine, it's about 110 foot long or so. I'm going to do H post braces on the ends and X twist tight with high tensile wire. Then stretch and staple two pulls of high tensile wire about 2 and 4 foot off the ground. Or at least I think those are good heights? IDK... feedback always welcomed.

yeah, we have rabbit and several families here too. main vegetable garden is fenced well enough that they rarely get in there but we still do have to keep an eye out for them. i hunt them otherwise we'd be overrun.

I have some blackberry and goji berry cuttings that have sprouted leaves/roots in water over the last couple weeks. I need to get them in soil, my question is can I put them directly in the ground now or do I need to pot them and not put them outside later? our last frost date is end of April/beginning of May, but both are deemed hardy for our zone. I have done some research and watched some videos and there seems to be differing opinions. I just know I need to get them in dirt one way or another.

Looking ahead at our 10 day forecast looks like there are 2 days (this Thurs and Fri) that the temps get below 32 deg F at night, otherwise they are above freezing

Rabbits are big problem around here. Big ones, medium ones and small ones. I had to J clip 24" x 1" chicken wire around the bottom of the woven wire garden fence. It has seemed to work so far.

if they have been inside it might be too much of an abrupt transition to plant them outside if it will still be getting cold. can you pot them up? i don't put anything out that may be frost tender until the end of May.

Weeded, watered and put out feed bags as mulch. I'll put hay over the feed bags eventually so it doesn't look so ratty, lol.

I did feed bags one year, it became a huge mess the following spring. Might have been ok if I would have pulled them up that fall but I left them to overwinter. They didn't over winter so well.

I don't have trouble with the paper bags but the year I used those plastic-y ones was horrible. they disintegrated into gazillions of tiny strings that I'm still picking up.
