i can believe it's warm enough already down there! :) i hope they do well for you.
No snow here, lol! We hit 82 yesterday and finally the overnight temps are warmer. Today we'll hit 85. I've been chomping at the bit but our overnight lows were still in the low 40's so I waited a bit. I'm also anxious to see how they do. Thanks again!

Planning out the beds today and will be on the hunt for onion sets and seed potatoes, that is all I have to buy this year.

Received some goji berry cuttings in the mail yesterday so I have them in water in my south facing bay window, hope to get some strong roots and leaves in a few weeks

I'm with you on the plants prices!! I had commented before about how the plants were way more than last year....I understand profits but, I can't afford them! My own seedlings are what I need and use. Save seed from these heirlooms. Heck, one or two peppers supply all you need.

so far we have not had too much trouble with plant starts, but i don't do most of the warm weather plants because i don't really have room here for them. the greenhouse has been good to us. we pay them back by giving them some of our produce.

Earthworms love manure and rotting hay! 😊

they also love cardboard. :) those ridges are like worm hotels.

Was very windy yesterday, but the wind stopped and it dipped down to 29 degrees last night. This morning, I snapped a picture of my cabbages and onions. 29 degrees didn't even phase them one bit 👍 I would say they are definitely hardened off now and ready to be set out in the garden.

Garden gold I hope. I'm gonna borrow the community 3 point rake and rake this out, then move to the garden. And use the rake for a few other things before I take it back.

But first we catch us a steer. Poor people have to make due with what junk we got. However this 24 x 20 with a center post gives me some idea for a future catch pen.
