Got my organic bug control today.

Spread them around on the fruit trees, in the garden and in the greenhouse.

Do you have to buy or are you able to forage that many egg sacks? I'd suspect buy!! I've never found that many around in fact, don't see a lot of them here...believe my chickens see them first . Are they the Carolina type? Not Chinese!

I moved one of those to a more sheltered place when I found it mowing. I think we have the european ones here. Fairly small and green

The best story is when Mom was in town. She found a big mantis just hanging on the side of the grocery store in summer. High desert so hot and dry. No vegetation. She got that thing to let her hold it, put it on the passenger seat and took it home. She then held it up to her giant grape out front and it happily went.

This area has been mowed grass for so long that both pollinators and predators are in short supply.

I need to have reliable flowers before I can expect either to return. It wouldn't be fair to bring in a beehive only to have them travel miles after the redbuds stop blooming.

I'll be planting lilacs and rose of sharon. That one will bloom all season. The goji will bloom all season.
