Deer tape -- she's using the pink stuff. I use white for the goats 🤣 if a twist in it, it will flutter in a breeze, they see a height - purely optical fence challenge. Similar to fluttering CD discs in orchard. Doesn't stop 100% but, stops most attempts to jump in. Or, for goats, to jump out

Cherry grafts yet to be planted out, some will be held back to.plant this fall at my sons house. Another 100% sucess rate year :)

I still have my fig starts in the barn tackroom. I unwrapped them a few weeks ago so they can get afternoon sunlight from a window. They say potential freeze overnight, so I covered them up. I haven't checked on them for a while. They could use watering but they are all pushing a bit of new growth. So they survived winter, with the heat tape idea :) April 15th is our last average frost date so they stay in the barn tackroom until then. They are super tender right now.

P.S. incase you haven't noticed... my little nursery plants are run largely by folgers.
