What did you do to MAKE money today?

I didn't do a single thing to make money today. I had planned on it, but well...per usual what i planned took a turn and went somewhere else. I did make chicken and dressing for dinner though (with a free chicken) I think saved money is as good as money earned

I picked up a few hickory nuts to sell/eat.

Sold 5 hens, 7 ducks, 7 chicks, and got a bag of feed given to me. Cha. ching. Feed bill is DOWN for the winter too

Selling off some silkies that I picked up at auction. Paid $1 each, selling for $10 each. Gentleman is also buying several bars of soap. I was advertising soaps/candles separately from everything livestockish, but finally said the heck with it and put everything on there. Hey, a lot of people who want/have their own chickens have a similar mind-frame, and want homemade/natural soaps, so why not?

Fenced in an acre. Started dropping 6x6x12 posts for a call duck sanctuary, and moved a monstrous pile of brush. "Little" side job, turning into a farming nightmare It was fun though Going back tomorrow!

Canned 12 jars of pickled watermelon rinds for sale at market.

Didn't make money for myself, but we had a fundraiser for our students. It was Bingo Night! We made just a bit over $1000!!!! It will benefit the students by paying for letter jackets, dual credit courses and college books. Woo Hoo!
