I made keljonma's Herbes de Provence mix today, after getting a bunch of herb plants (and a few flowers) at half price at the plant place!!! They were pretty over-grown, so they all got a haircut before getting planted, and the last of the pineapple sage and stevia is in the dehydrator. I have enough Herbes de Provence mixture to flavor some chevre.....hope we like it, we have lots and lots of chevre here....

Made 7 quarts of yogurt. Whew. It is fruit & veggie shake season here.

Someone gave me some beef sausage so along with my zucchini and onions I made stuffed zucchini for dinner. Also had green beans from the garden.

I am on vacation this week so I have only moved my car once since Friday. Needed cheese for the stuffed zucchini.

Worked in the garden. Picked peppers, cucumbers, onions, zucchini and green beans. Tomorrow I am going to try to find a recipe for canning my beans.

We spotted our first zucchini today. We also have our first ripe tomato. It's a cherry tomato that is still in a pot.

Cackle, you might try some pickled beans. I like mine spicy, so I add a hot pepper. One year I had yellow wax beans and made nice patterns in the jars with alternating yellow and green beans. I also make bean salad using just the green beans and can it.

I pulled weeds and gave them to the chickens. I thinned sunflowers and broomcorn and gave that to the rabbit and to the chickens. Tonight I'll be strippping more flower buds from the lavender for food products. It's an easy thing to do while watching tv.

My daughter's SO is a computer geek and added more memory to my computer and fixed some other problems. So now my computer is nice and fast. :celebrate I think he's a keeper ;)

I am going to try pickled okra. And my family likes it with hot pepper.

My zucchini is already in trouble. I need to freeze some while I can. I have had to cut out squash bores from two plants. I need to get out there and pull more weeds.

Free it was almost 100 here the last two days. My garden is growing like crazy. Yours will be there soon.

I don't do okra. Can't stand the texture. Except in gumbo!!! Which a co-worker many years ago made and was to die for. I can't get myself to eat anything slimy.
Though it might be good pickled.
