Here is an idea I ran across years ago for watering a strawberry pot: take a length of 1/2" diameter plastic hose - long enough to coil around the inside of the pot so that every opening will have part of the hose nearby. Now punch holes in the hose, using a heated awl. Plug one end of the hose- you could try a cork, or just pinch the ends together and melt the seam closed. Place the hose inside and add soil, leaving the last, open end sticking out of the soil a few inches. Now you can water your strawberries by pouring water into the hose (a funnel helps with this) and the water will be directed to each plant instead of running out the first set of openings.
