What's for dinner?

Used up a 5 lb bag of older russets - sliced them 1/2" thick. Made my own cream/cheese sauce. Toss with cubes of ham. Bake in oven at 400 for 45 minutes. Top casserole with 2 year old parmesan that was in the freezer. YUMMY!!!

Really enjoying the air fryer cooked steaks. Freezer to plate in less than 20 minutes total

That steak looks really good. You just put it in the air fryer frozen? I air fried steaks one time and was less than impressed. Maybe I should try it from frozen. Did you do anything special to it?

Frozen steaks, straight out the freezer., light coating of olive oil, salt and pepper. 400 degrees 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness, then flip. Another 8-10 minutes. Done

Garlic and sage butter basted pork chops along with home grown, previously canned green beans.

appetizer was potato chips and chip dip, a cookie and some milk and then for the main course it was a small bowl of cereal.

My steak is a 0.92 pound top sirloin strip steak . I probably should have asked what size and kind yours were. Fingers crossed!

Well when I pried the frozen package open, I found that it was one large (wide) piece and one smaller (narrower) piece. I probably should have made a point to take the smaller one out sooner. But it ended up not too overcooked. The larger one was a nice medium.

However verdict from husband is it was “just ok”. Not his favorite method of cooking. Perhaps it was the quality of the cut of meat.

Im going to play with the sous vide feature on my new multipot soon. Hubby wants me to do a steak, then reverse sear it.

Tonight is just hamburger in gravy with mashed potatoes and veggies

Last nite was leftovers, plunked into a fry pan, add some half and half and left over green beans. Saute up. Side was home canned quart sweet potatoes from '21 with a splash of OJ and 1/4 C of brown sugar. YUMMY!!
