My current routine is 15 minutes on the “Body Slender”, 2 exercises with the dumbbell with 50 repetitions each and 3 exercises on the ab roller with 50 repetitions each.

My exercise routine consists of simple exercises like walking and jogging, however I do them consistently which increases their effectiveness in my body. I think it is better to stick with simple exercises for a long time instead of a complex one for a short time.

That makes sense to me, too... a lot of times when we bite off more than we can chew, we end up giving up exercise completely instead of simply switching to something less complex.

Right now I am in rehab after a joint replacement, and I am learning all kinds of things about bone, muscle, and tendon, and striving for more range of motion than I had before. I haven't been able to get out and walk for ages, and I'm really looking forward to that, because I really like strapping on the old CD and having a brisk walk to my favourite songs.

That's what I should do with the treadmill... but I don't. I always have good intentions and then other stuff comes along in a day's time and I find myself with another day of not having treadmilled. It's maddening.

I'd like to start swimming more regularly.

That's a very good part of an exercise routine, swimming. Unfortunately I never learned how, so it would be more like drowning for me and... well, I'm just not interested in that. :D

I now that I have mention that I have an equipment but these past few weeks I haven’t been able to step on it. I’m trying to get back to my groove because I’m too busy with my sites.

Now that two months have passed since you wrote this, have you found it
any easier to get back into an exercise routine... or is it still difficult for you?
I really need to find some motivation.

We have an exercycle that shows you how many "miles" you've biked, your heart rate, and how many calories you've burned. If I exercise quite quickly I can burn about 250 calories in a half an hour. I try to do it twice a day.

Wow, that is *excellent* heretoday! I used to have a bike but it needed to be replaced and we haven't done it get. It didn't have the readings, though.. that would be great! I do have a treadmill that has the computerized readouts and I'd have to nearly knock myself out to burn 250. :)

Well, I've kind of worked my way up to the 250 calorie mark, Katharina.:D
We found this exercycle at our local thrift shop and it cost us a big $25.00. It was a really good score, and that kind of encourages us to use it.
