I am thinking about what I want to sell at Farmer's Market this year, if I actually do it this time. I don't have access to all the fruits and such that I used to sell, so I was wondering about maybe making my own granola or granola bars to sell. There's noplace around here that sells organic in bulk (as far as I know) so I was looking around online. Especially for oats, nuts, seeds, maple syrup, raisins, etc.

I don't know if I could get anybody to buy it or not. People around here expect everything to be rediculously cheap. A regular sized cuke won't sell if you price it more than 50 cents, and usually won't sell for more than a quarter when there's a lot of them. ugh! :barnie

I finally sat down an looked through the Azure standard catalog. It was a bit overwhelming but I found all the GF staples have great prices.

That's probably what I am going to order first.

Please CALL Country Life Natural Foods www.clnf.org I am looking at my book and it shows a tetnative drop point in Iowa every other month. you need a 500 dollar order to get on the route. our group has several people in it. there is no joining fee, there is no delivery fee, no tax, etc. what price you see is the price you are charged.

i get all my grains, oats, nuts, rice, dried fruits, maple syrup, spices, oils and oh so much more through them and their quality is the absolute highest! they are wonderful people and wonderful to work with. i think their prices beat Azure's, especialy on the grains. i do order my fresh produce and organic butter through Azure. But Azure charges an 8.5 percent fee for shipping or whatever they call it, basically in place of tax.

i like both co-ops but for different reasons :)

Please check out Country Life.

Mrs. Puff, are you near Mt. Vernon, Iowa? There is a health food store there that might be able to help. Sorry I don't know the name of the shop, the owner is Karen Thornton. I met her through the ALBC.
