I do the same. And there have been times I've wanted to dash off a reply to something that someone has said, not necessarily on this forum, but on others, but instead, I sit back and cool down. I realize that what I read may not have been what they meant, so I'll ask, either in public or in private. And, I have been attacked on other forums. But, I made the decision a long time ago that I will not let petty minded people drive me away from a place I enjoy. (If I didn't enjoy it, that would be different, I'd just leave.) There are too many good apples to let the few bad ones spoil it for me.savingdogs said:I think very often things said via internet can be taken too many different ways because we don't see tone...and we keep talking instead of listening for the other person's point like you would in a true conversation. Because of this, I think everyone needs to look over their posts (and private messages) and make sure their intent is clear and the result will be positive. I use a lot of silly emoticons to try to let people know I'm teasing or whatever (y'all can tell me how well that works).
