Well I told a secret that I never planned to let loose on SS. So how many people have I suprised?
Surprised me! I had you pegged for a mother of three! :th

Looking back with new knowledge .. it IS obvious that you are a guy... just not a kid.

Don't take that wrong. It is a compliment. You show a lot of wisdom for one so young grasshopper! :D

Beekissed- I expected her to be a bit tomboy, because she is good at practical stuff and has so many skills that too many women don't know they can do. She might wish life was easier sometimes, but wont let that keep her from doing whatever needs done. I picture her usually, in comfortable clothes that she doesn't have to worry about, with a few outfits for when she wants to get fancied up. She had a pic in her journal, once. Don't know if it's still there even, but she looked just fine. People with curly hair rarely appreciate it. I always wanted mine to have more curl.

She be a good writer, because she sees the world clearly, and is willing to tell the truth about it. She still has a kind soul and will usually find the good in the world. That helps people know that everything can turn out alright. She cracks me up too.

Blackbird- Before I got to know him, I thought a combo of "farm-bookworm", since he is obviously intelligent, about lots of subjects, and also is totally competent about the animals and gardening. If I won a lottery- I'd buy my land, and ship him down to teach me, and help me run the farm. Might just adopt him too. I like to make my own family that way.

I've seen lots of pics so that part was already figured out. His voice surprised me. He really sounds older than he is. His screen name could be for either gender, so that's probably why people guess female sometimes. Most guys don't have the courage to use names that aren't strictly male, so neutral names get assumed female.

Farmer Denise- Definitely an Earth mother. I see her in mostly comfortable or hippie type clothes, taking care of everybody- human and otherwise. Huge heart, but temper would be nasty to anything that threatened her family. I see her as medium build, with long darkish hair with some gray. I see her not worrying about a few gray hairs or little lines, because they are souvenirs of her life's adventures.

Dace- I picture her as a cheerleader, motivating her family to try new things. She always seems young and full of life. Saw a real pic, before I had a mental one, so I didn't get very creative.

Modern Pioneer- I see him as a slightly reclusive mountain man that went out into the world when he was younger and wasn't crazy about some of it. Hightailed it back to where there was woods and earth and made a home for himself. People come to him for stuff they need made because he can do many things, and he would make an occasional trip to town to sell his goods and resupply.

He keeps a bit of a shell around him till he knows you're okay and has eaten a bit of shoe leather (puts foot in mouth occasionally) but people that take the time to really know him probably stay friends for life. Huge heart once he trusts somebody and would probably do almost anything for people he cares about.

Free- I see her as tall, fairly thin, brown hair, classic style but comfortable clothes and a book in one hand. I think she would love to have antiques but they would mostly be functional, not just on display.
She probably gets asked for advice or help in places she doesn't work at- because she has that helpful vibe. People trust her easily because she has clean energy. (Animals trust her and they are hard to fool, so I know her heart is good.)

Ohio Farm Girl- Small woman with a big attitude. Maybe a reincarnated bard or something with those amazing stories. Fierce protector of family and those you care for. Secretly loves taking care of loved ones, but tells them to man up, so that they don't get lazy. She tells people what they need to know, not just what they want to hear.

Wifezilla- Lots of spunk. Dresses to fit situation but it has to be comfy too. Wont put up with BS and I bet kids rarely fooled you. No idea really about appearance.

I thought Blackbird was female in early 30's.
I also thought Justasnack was a young male until I read a post that revealed her gender and went back and reread some posts and thought "Duh. Where did I get that from?"
Freemotion I picture as an English teacher -tall, thin, well spoken with reading glasses.
Dacjohns, I pictured as a bit of a crotchety old guy - occasionally sitting on the porch rocking chair with a shotgun and having a bomb shelter in the basement.
Missthenorth - I just get the picture of someone in a cabin in the woods with 6 feet of snow outside with the wind howling.
WZ - (I think your avatar is responsible for this), I picture as Ethel Mermon.
farmerchick I see as someone you would see at horse stables, rubber boots, jeans tucked in them, flannel shirt & no nonsense personality.
Abifae - I picture as creative/into art, and looking like one of the elves in Lord of the rings, but with dark hair.
Skr8pn - I thought of as a guy in his late 20's livin' the country life.
Farmfresh - I think of as someone from California despite the fact she doesn't live there.

I guess all this really illustrates how our minds 'fill in the blanks' for us and how difficult it is to get to know someone on the internet.
I'm even worse at picturing what someone looks like after hearing their voice!

LOL

I do mean Ethel Mermon immitation :D

I will have to post a picture later. Right now I need some sleep. I woke up at 3am because the front door was wide open, the heater was blasting so it was 90 in the bedroom. Got the door shut, cooled off then when I tried to go back to sleep, the cat kept waking me up :p

Wow this thread took off.

Thanks, Jay that is a very nice description. Reminds me I need a haircut. :D

I guess I have been around long enough to where I have seen pictures of some of you and even met others.

Except, Bee she would never post one. ;)

I thought Barred Buff was a girl also. But heck I used to think Lupin was a boy.

I drive a 10 year old Mini Van. :sick

I would love to have a 4 door Tacoma or Tundra. Maybe someday soon.

Very interesting read. But now I am all confused between what I thought and what is real.. :th Don't expect me to remember any of it.

Have a great day!!

The reason I chose my words (although I am not as good at it as some are)
Sunshine - cause you are always so upbeat. Fresh air - 'cause you tell it like you see it. The milk - you are so homey sewing etc. and kitten whiskers ... well I know you love your cats.

I guess I haven't met the sub-machine gun wielding side just yet! :plbb
Yeh :) Upbeat and tell it like I see it! I was thinking kitten whiskers cuz I'm just as like to chase my tail and get distracted by sparklies LOL.

Awww but the machine gun wielding side is so adorable!

*beams*

Meriruka hit pretty close on the physical description lol. I have that elf look, for sure.

3 questions:
How tall am I?
What do I drive?
What's on my feet?
No fair peeking at my journal! ;)

SKR---I pictured you with a full beard for some reason lol
Yeah, not like the picture at all.....but you have a very kind face, SKR8PN! That is a very artsy pic, too...was it professional? It is very good. Whoever took it has talent.
My niece took that picture when she was still in an art class, college level. That was taken with an OLD, and I do mean OLD, box type of camera.....the kind where you have to slide a plate in it that holds one piece of film, and cover your head with a black cloth! Then she had to develop it in her own darkroom. The kid has some serious talent, and gets it from her mother, my sister.
