I am trying to grow fireweed as well. I brought back some seeds from a N.Y. trip 2 years ago. At least I hope that it is growing, I will find out this summer.

That stuff spreads far worse then Dandelions, just so you know! Truly invasive.

Yeah, fireweed is everywhere!! I would never have thought to intentionally plant it.

I am growing chufa this year. Since it is related to nutsedge, when you try to research it, all these forum posts pop up basically saying "KILL IT!! KILL IT NOW!!! DIE DIE DIE!!!"



If an edible tuber that tastes like a cross between almond and coconut that is good for people AND ducks wants to take over my yard, I say let it

I guess it's too common in your area, but I haven't seen it here. That fireweed actually looks pretty.
