Why do southern's get a craving for french toast before every storm?

I have NO clue. I am from Kansas City MO....I grew up with ice and snow.

I love her dearly. She asked me three times this morning before the snow started if I was going to the store. For What? Lol

Bless her, she grew up in the middle of nowhere and experienced bad ice storms. We have the bay window curtains wide open so she can see out. <3

Wife says it's a blizzard - horizontal snow! Temperature dropped from 45 with rain to 26 windy and snow.

Thats a good one... Hard to tell here because of the blowing and drifting but I would say we got a good 3" so far - the wind is howling.
