I am starting to make bread and would like to know where is the best place to buy bulk yeast? thank you..Dixie

Sam's Club! I love their vacuum packed packages and the yeast is always so fresh and active!

I buy mine at Costco, I assume it is pretty much the same as Sam's.

Make sure you store it in the freezer. It lasts longer that way.

I get mine at the local Amish store: 1 pound for $2.50

For those of you out there who don't have a BIG Warehouse store near you that offers bulk foods. I get mine from Bulkfoods.com 5lbs of yeast is $17.42 + shipping. I usually wait and order when I have a $75.00 order then its a flat $5.oo no matter the weight. They have some really good prices on baking chips, nuts, Meals & flours ect. even chocolates for those of us who want to indulge every now & again
