FB laughed when she got a flash flood warning alert on her phone. I said you think, a day late and dollar short whouldnt you say? But she read we got 8 inches of rain yesterday. I wouldn't doubt it at all. Since the start of this Thursday I wouldn't be surprised at all if we recived 12 plus inches of rain. Rain. Is suposed to stop tomorrow. We pray its just just one more rain day (today). But we are now under a freeze warning overnight .

Let's see here...
Tried to take us out with tornados, 3 times.
Tried to break my wrist opening up the door.
Tried to beat me to a pulp with hail.
Tried to flood us out.
Going to try and freeze us.

This all since Thursday.

Ha... nothing doing! I slept like a baby last night. Mr. Almighty woke me up way late. He must have figured, I needed rest. Which I most definitely did

I just found out my newest daughter in law's sister, was recently saved and baptized yesterday (Sunday April 7th 2025) in Nashville, TN I'm so thankful and happy The amount of joy I feel right now, is hard to put into words, so I won't even try.

I will sleep well again tonight

Coffee is ready! It’s cold here at 42F, but warming up this week. I think I’ll go chop and drop thistles this morning. They are getting ahead of me, they are monstrous huge. Time to sharpen up the machete. Will be sunny this week, maybe that will dry them up and I can gather and put them in a trash bag and get them outa here.
Going to Corpus Christi tomorrow morning to see a play middle granddaughter is in on Tuesday night. Leave Wednesday morning, 6 hour drive. Will load up chicken to take to the family, need the freezer space for the next round of chickens! Come back, start back on processing chickens on Thursday. Put guts double bagged in trash for pick up on Friday. At least that’s the plan.

Iam up, Got up at 2am for water and made myself go back to sleep.
I slept to 6:15
COFFEES READY!! I added cinnamon to the grounds,, YUM!!

It rained all day and all night yesterday. Laundry waiting, and housework.
I have salad veg to prep for the week and going to roast a chicken for this weeks pot of soup for lunch. we finished off the pot of chili yesterday. I need to catch up on my Bible study. DH is wrapping up the "getting ready" for the knife show, and the roofers will be back today.
We went and got paint and primer for all the eves, trim and porch. We need to go to HD and get a quality paint sprayer. We have to paint the eves and fascia, I have no idea how I am going to get up this high and DH!! is NOT ...! I can do all I can reach on a ladder BUT!! no, falling is to expensive.​
