What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

Thanks. I've found that prenatal vitamins work great on women that aren't pregnant.

    Look who showed up

My father is not only a good man. But a great man. So I can only imagine how my brothers will turn out. If they are half the man he is they will be better than ninety percent of the men in the planet. But if I can make them even better I certainly will. Anyway. He mulched the flower bed out...

    Look who showed up

So after work I decided that I needed another raspberry plant in the fenced part of the back yard. And look who was at my house waiting for me when I got home. My brothers. Well only one of them is outside. The other isn't much of an outdoor guy. He's inside with mom watching Netflix. So...

I can assure you that even if I were to start a journal that I would not stop posting elsewhere. But thank you very much.

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

I wish I had my energy too. Lol I've been working extra hours like that since I was 19. I'm exhausted and have to eat constantly to keep my weight up. When I first started working those kinds of hours I dropped down to 80 pounds. But I tweaked my diet and increased my caloric intake and I've...

    Wine

I could probably do that. It'll be a week or two till I start another batch. And you're right dandelion wine is really good. So is dandelion whiskey.

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

Sounds like your neighbor is pretty wasteful. Or he knows you're going to make good use of the stuff. Either way. Score for you.

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

I hope so anyway. Only time will tell what's gonna happen. Anyway. Back to the topic of the thread. I volunteered for 8 hours of double time on Sunday.

    Permaculture help

I currently and in the foreseeable future will only have iron horses on my property. So that's not an issue. But do have a couple goats and will likely have hogs in the future. Though it would be fairly simple to keep them away from those areas. Well not simple. But you see what I'm saying...

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

This is the first time I've ever grown any type of pepper. Same with cucumbers. So I'm hoping I didn't get them out too early. I started the cucumbers inside in late March and put them in the ground 3 weeks ago. But by all the growth charts I should be harvesting 45 to 50 days after germination...

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

My ghost habanaroe and spicy reds haven't exactly taken off yet though. They're healthy looking enough. Just not doing any real growing yet. They've all been in the ground the same length of time as the tomatos and Other peppers. But I just don't think it's been warm enough yet. And I think that...

What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

I'd think youd be ok depending on the peppers. My sweet and bell peppers are doing very well so far and we haven't had a single day above 80 f.

    Permaculture help

Ok thank you. Correct me if I'm wrong. But the only material that you should have in the root zone is things like leaves and straw or other things that the roots can push through correct?
