MTN, I just did a search on "Morse Code" & found some sites with what the letters, numbers, & punctuation marks are. I printed out a chart one of them has. Then I keep another hand-written one using the technique Trim describes (E . I .. S... etc) I switch back & forth between the two...

Thanks, Trim. It went as well as can be expected under the circumstances, but was still painful (for me, hopefully not for Koo-Koo). Usually when one of our animals dies after being sick, I feel a kind of relief...but not today. :( At least now I can say I can do it.

Full grown, about 2 1/2 years old. (BTW, it was starter-fluid, not anti-freeze.)

Has anyone here ever performed their own euthanasia on a sick chicken, that doesn't involve snapping its neck or a hatchet? I remember reading things on BYC but there being a lot of argument about it (antifreeze in a sealed container, or something similar). Anyone ideas? :/

Being a vegetarian, I don't hunt & never have. Mine are 100% for personal protection. The police will only come AFTER the crime. SS also means protecting yourself, IMHO. :)

Yep, that's what I'm doing next. I read on another thread here (somewhere) you could soak softener in little pieces of sponge, too & use in the dryer. :)

Unfortunately I can't bring myself to shell out that much for EO. I priced some at Whole Foods... :th But a bottle of conditioner for 84 cents? That I can do. :) ORChick - I don't think the scent came thru in my batch, but the clothes ended up softer than just vinegar.
