Zenbirder, that is awesome! Good for you!. I am have been thinking alot about trying some kits, at least to get the kids interested in growing and learning about mushrooms.
I call ahead and ask if they have them in before I drive over. Sometimes they will say that they have them in a small trash bag and they just have to bag them up and to come on in, I just tell them to leave them in the trashbag and I will take it all and they are happy to not have to shovel it...
I use coffee grounds in the garden and I get them from Starbucks. Starbucks saves all their coffee grounds and puts them in foil bags, the same ones the beans came out of so they reuse them, and they seal it with a sticker that gives directions on how to use them in your garden.
I got tons of it...
So do you think they are just trying to pull people in with the whole green concept? Maybe like jumping on the bandwagon?
I can't believe they actually print all those pictures out. I know its to get people to buy them since you are more apt to purchase a picture that is already printed versus...
This is a link for that company Fungi Perfecti.
They have indoor and outdoor kits and ones for kids.
Lot of interesting stuff to choose from.

Let us know how it works out, I have been toying with the idea myself. I have that same catalog and I was thinking of getting the mushroom growing log to teach the kids about it.

Its worth it to get the better brand too. I know there are a couple of companies that sell fish oil and it can be a little pricy but it does last a long time and the quality is really worth a few extra dollars.
A nutritionist I know recommends the nordic naturals and then there is a really good...
See when I heard $2000.00 I didn't bat an eye because you wouldn't get to rent a house around here for any less than that.
In fact the guy across the street just rented his house out for $2,400.00 per month.
I was fortunate to buy my house 15 years ago but the housing is through the roof now...
Aside from the oils, you can try vitamin b2 (riboflavin) and cod liver oil, it also comes in capsules so that you don't have to gag it down.
Both of those made a huge difference in our house.
My son also had chronic chapped lips, nothing helped and once we tried the b2 that someone recommended...
NOW YOU TELL ME!!
No problem Pat thank goodness it was only 5 pages and it was for a good cause!!
Wow, a broken link huh? I thought it might have been that you needed a subscription and then I laid awake all night wondering if I gave out contraband information.
Thanks again.:)
I became a guardian to a child a few years ago.
He came to me through my other children. He is a friend of my kids and I knew things were not right at home, he tried to hide it but too many things were apparent.
He would not show up at school and the kids would call me and tell me that he isn't...
Well, being as commputer savvy as I am, I had no idea you could do that!!
That would be great. Every once in a while I wish I had one of those particular ones but I wasn't sure there was any room on this panel for more and the ones we have are great so you don't want to drop any.
Thanks...
aw dacjohns, you would love some of these!
I think they even have one that is a guy pointing out spelling errors.;)
Seriously though, there are some pretty good ones.
Calling Rob, Calling Rob I have a request........Please. :D
Can we add to our smilies?
That is if there is enough room on the panel to do that.
I have seen some pretty cool ones, a dancing pink elephant, beating a dead horse symbol and a flying pig and a few others.
I was wondering if Ann...
Hey thanks for the tip!
I just subsribed to the online newsletter, its got alot of info.
I get the mother earth newsletter too.
I'll probably order the magazine as well.
I liked the gardening stuff and compost tips that I saw in it already.
Okay, hope you enjoyed that fine reading.
You know what I think the problem with the link was that you have to have a subscription maybe.
I have subscribed to these newletters and maybe it prohibits the links from working unless you are a subscriber?
I don't know, but you wouldn't believe how...
