Kitsap County isn't that "green." No, you cannot permit a composting toilet. I don't think you could get a permit for greywater either . . . in fact, if you want to just have a good old fashioned septic tank you are out of luck. You have to install one that uses power to dissipate the waste...
Hey Wifezilla :frow
I totally understand your motivations.
I would suggest looking at Azure Standard , but it looks like they only typically deliver to Western Nevada or Montana and not to Colorado. So it probably wouldn't be a good deal for you. :(
I hope you find a source of quality...
Is it still dipping below freezing at night for you guys? Last night we were 33 F, so I imagine you are still getting freezes (hence the garden tent and the cool temps despite the strength of the sun).
Wow! 3 hr nap! Are you trying to make me jealous, BB? The most I could ever get out of my guy regularly was 2.5 hrs and those days are well over. :P If he did take a 3 hr nap (I think he took 2 that long ever) I would worry that something was wrong with him.
Have fun out...
I wasn't recommending it, just saying that is how they used to do it back in the 50's.
ETA: Sorry, I should have stated more clearly why I mentioned this . . . I meant to imply that if you know what time you fed a baby you can expect what time they will eliminate.
We started with a Great Pyrenese puppy. I wouldn't even start with a year old puppy, myself, as I am very particular about how I want my dog to behave . . . otherwise I do not like dogs. I am a cat person, by nature.
Our puppy is learning our rules . . . which I've stated are very...
This reminds me of something I saw that probably isn't going to be any help at all, but apparently if you feed the baby on a schedule you can hold a chamber pot for them on a schedule too. LOL That was from a Better Homes & Gardens baby book from the 1950's.
For a newborn you could maybe...
I agree, BB. I can't believe that people in France typically eat it for breakfast. But I guess typical Americans eat sweetened cereals for breakfast . . . . :P
:lau That sums up my cooking experiment with Nutella.
What I wanted was hazelnut butter, but Nutella was not the answer. I've never had it before, so it was a learning experience for me. :lau It wasn't until I got the jar home that I noticed that the first ingredient was sugar. :lau And...
She is in good hands.
Enjoy that your baby naps and has a calm temperament! It is especially good for you since your growing season is short.
I'm just looking forward to the day I can put my little energizer baby (what we call him) to work for me.
Thanks for refreshing this thread, tinkarooni. I have been needing another high protein snack recipe . . . and I've been craving chocolate like mad for over a month now. :P
I think I'm going to make these with Nutella (hazelnut w/cocoa in it already), so I'll use the smaller amount of cocoa...
 I guess I got lucky like you did miss_thenorth. My mom says that boys tend to nap less than girls in general. At some point soon my boy is going to be sleeping less than I need to at night! :hide
(once again, sorry for the hijack BB)
I have often thought it would be fun...
It depends upon the baby probably, but I would say it is impossible. I keep thinking that the pioneer women only had to really do it once . . . after that they usually had at least one extra pair of helping hands . . . and back then the in-laws either lived close and helped or you didn't see...
:drool
My family got together for Easter just so we could have cinnamon rolls for brunch. Gotta have your priorities! :gig I like the addition of the cream cheese frosting, but usually I don't think homemade cinnamon rolls require that . . . it is just an added bonus! :)
I have been...
