We had stuffed manicotti and Italian sausage, but I made the manicotti pasta, so I was able to put the stuffing on it and roll it up instead of trying to stuff soft cheeses into a tube. Worked great!
Well, I just don't want stuff. If I want something, I'll buy it. At this point in life, there is not much I want, and junk isn't it. I don't want trinkets, no matter how sentimental. I want less clutter!!! Kindred spirits here, I think.
Yes. I weigh my trays before I freeze dry (in grams). Then when they are dried I weigh them again. I register the difference right on the label and that should be about the amount of water I want to add back in. I do this with most of our leftovers. I used to buy commercially prepared...
@CrealCritter , how did your first freeze dry process go? I hope you are enjoying yours as much as I do mine. I just set up a tray of our leftovers tonight - beef barley stew. Should be great. It's what I do with most leftovers now. I keep them in the freezer and as soon as I have 4 trays...
