Got some more boxes broken down in the garage and in trash today. Wish I had garden space to use the cardboard for weed control. Still pecking away at the kitchen.

Traditionally the Friday after Christmas was the day for putting up Christmas decorations for me. The ex would go shopping with my mom, and the kids and I would keep busy. No decorations now with these crazy cats. Lol

made good progress here on getting rid of a few things. my sister had room in her luggage so i gave her a leather coat that i didn't like and another suit coat i would never wear again. a few things that have been taking up very limited closet space here that would not be used and will be useful to her or someone else. :)

More progress today. Had three tables up in the kitchen (regular table and two extra). Got one cleared off and broken down. New approach...put away what I could and then fill up open space on counter and other tables. Sounds weird, but the "keep rolling up the mess in one pile" is working right now.

Laundry is almost done.

The wife is an ice fanatic. 🧊 I think it has partially to do with her history of medical issues and partially due who she is. She goes through a lot of ice. We had an Opal ice maker but the calcium in the water here (even after being filtered) tore it up with scale deposits. So we have a new one. We shall see using distilled water

As the year draws to a close, I'll give myself a "B-" on my results.
The canning marathon derailed the decluttering, but was worth it. Progress made here and there, I am okay with the mixed results.

Next year:
- aggressively manage the household budget, I have a savings amount goal in mind
- find a home of our own, at least get something under contract
- lose 30 pounds, continue to reduce meds
- teach my daughters to can
- continue canning for us
- use garden to "play in" for stress relief
- continue declutter

Here you go, already making your 2023 list! I guess I’ll have to start pondering on that.
