Yeah, I can always find things to do. It is just so much fun after 26 years of the military life to finally be living the life I dreamed about. September will be our 3rd year here and the time when we would usually be moving again. It is such a strange feeling to know we are not going anywhere.
September will be me and doc's third year at our new home, also! It's a great feeling, isn't it? :D

Congrat's to your daughter! :hugs

:hugs to your son, too! I got stuck on second base when I played softball and didn't like it either. :(

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :hugs

My son wanted to play catcher, but they stuck him in the outfield because he had ADHD. They thought he wouldn't be able to pay enough attention at catcher when in actuality, it would have been better for him. I had a choice, beat up the coach (and yes, I could have done it), or let my son quit. And while I normally don't believe in letting kids quit something like that, this time I did.

I've never caught turtles, so I don't know. How big is your pond? I seem to recall reading a story years ago where they actually had to drain the pond to get rid of the turtles. Is it legal to set out bait lines for them like they do for alligators? What kind of turtles are they?

That would be either a .22 or a trot line...but you couldn't a trot line with the ducks in the pond, so it will have to be the .22. Find a teenage boy in the neighborhood and give him a .22 rifle and point him towards your pond. Tell him he can shoot any of the turtles he sees....he will have a ball doing it and you won't have to stake out the pond yourself.

Heck, MY boys would pay you to let them shoot stuff! :D
