My wife and I hope to build a summer kitchen, and this was one of the features that we have planned. We have read some good things about the CoolBot, and have already purchased the A/C (came across a great deal on Craigslist)for the cooler, even though it'll be next year before we can get started.
Have you tried cleaning the machine? My mom has one and when she says the clothes start looking grungy she has to get the cleaner for the machine...I think Tide just came out with one. Maybe that would make a difference? At least it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to find out!
We just got rid of our so called "high-efficiency" washer. It's not very efficient if the clothes don't come out clean and you have to replace the pump every year like we did. Our new cheap $300 washer cleans better than our $800 washer ever did, and it was the number one choice by Consumer Reports when we bought it 4 years ago.
