That's what I love about the space, there really are so many possibilities and my landlord told me it's "mine" to do with what I want. He is thrilled that I'm taking it on and working with it :)

My hand is mostly o.k. now, but now and then it hurts still. Yesterday morning it was stiff and sore when I woke up, but got better in the day. I need to get back to the hospital for the report, but I got sick with a cold or something and then the rest of Ireland it seems got flu. The hospital had a front page newsletter article asking people to NOT go there, unless it's an emergency, they were flooded. So I decided to wait before I go in to see the doctor and find out if they could figure out exactly what the injury was. I still have a red mark on my wrist where the car struck me. I call it a tattoo lol

Oh I don't mind it, but then we get an inch or two of the stuff only. IF it lodges, which it doesn't always. If we got the snow some of you over in the States did…

This morning €3.00 got me

Yes, €1.50 each! I wish now I knew this was coming, or I would not have paid way more for the other roses I bought, but I'm very happy with this find :) I was thinking of putting another two roses in the little area I put aside for roses, so this was perfect.

I bought three more roses yesterday, two yellow climbers and a purple bush :) I planted them out into this so long, to give their roots some space and so I can water them. I'm going to put them in the garden once this coming freeze passed, so the frost don't hurt the new leaves.

Here's the total haul

Those yellow climbers are destined for along the stone wall, unless I can get my landlord to buy an arbor of some sorts that I can put over the top of the steps… I'm thrilled to bits with the purple one! It's the one in the front, left in the pic. Not looking very happy at the moment, but I think with some pampering it will get going :)

Sumi, I can't wait to see all your garden plans come to fruition! I love the sight of climbing roses but could never manage to grow any. Bought many, but they all die or just spend their lives as spindly, diseased ne'er thee wells. Then I finally just remove them.

I hope yours all flourish!
