Good work, my DH makes sheaths for all of his knives, he leaves a 1/2 inch wide welt in his held in place with contact cement, then an 1/8 inch indentation on the outside if he want double stitching.
With single row stitching he does a 3/8ths welt,
His knives are super sharp and without the welt they would cut through the stitching.
This is not a normal carry situation,
At one of the knife shows he had a bozo shove a knife back onto it's sheath, so hard the guard went into the sheath, it turned, the knife cut the welt and went through the sheath and cut the tough guys hand......... DH always has bandaids at his table

got another one knocked out today and im out of leather and dye. i needed a break anyhow. one more to go and im done

i really dont enjoy leatherworking. i dont have the patience
