Pretty sure we hit 4 above today tomorrow and the rest of the week mid to high 20s, I will take it.

Its always a few degrees warmer in Trinity County, where I'm moving to, 123 miles south of here. It makes the difference between freezing or not. It does freeze, just not as often as it does here.

I drive through miles of National Forest on my way from Lindale to Groveton. I turn off at Alto, go through Ratcliff, Kennard, Nogales Prairie and pop out on Highway 94, just a few miles from the house. My son has 35 acres of land outside of Ratcliff, it backs up to National Forest. I hunted in the National Forest when I was much younger, camped in Luce Cemetery once upon a time. Great place to camp, nobody else wanted to camp there! LOL It is fenced off now, part of the Boggy Slough game preserve.

finally got around to doing something with the rest of the black berries in the freezer...jelly!
