Yep, pull it. And start composting the grass clippings with the chicken manure. It will go through a heat, which will cook any grass/weed seeds in the grass clippings.

I dont have a tiller, but I can get card board for free. Might be able to get some gravel to throw on top of it too.

Gravel has a way of moving around. I don't know how an inert object can move the way gravel and rocks do, but they delight in lurking in grass for your lawnmower blade to sling. The cardboard idea is great, maybe weigh it down with mulch and LARGE rocks. ;)

Just chiming in to say hi. I just finished reading your journal from the beginning. Our oldest son is certified for HVAC but works with hydrolic presses. But we may use his knowledge to follow your plans for rabbits. You've had a busy year. Very cool to watch the progress!

The okra is really taking off. Everything else is gone but it doesn't know when to quit. It's over 7 foot now.
