Herbal suntea...

I grilled 160 burgers, they are now in warming trays at the school, awaiting dinner at intermission ('50's malt shop theme). Only burnt the hair off part of my right hand, and the wife only nailed me in the bicep with with a pan hot out of the oven.

Abi, I'll take a tall glass of that iced tea right now, with a twist of stevia in it, please....

So I had this dream last night that we were escaping the Chinese (they'd apparently taken over and were killing off escapees from their education camps) and we were hiding in the walls full of insulation and they caught us and were drugging us so that we'd all take the education better.

I woke up almost falling off the bed, trying to get away from the needle.

Any dream interpreters out there?

I was afraid there wasn't enough random today for my big sis.

<shudder> Not a dream interpreter.

It reminds me of a all too TRUE story. We had a Multi-Cultural festival at our alternative school about 10 years ago. We had several staff members that were from other countries (or their parents were) so we invited them to tell a little about what their "home" country was like and some of the traditions.

Our little elderly janitor stepped up when it was his turn to speak. He showed us pictures of a young handsome man in a uniform and told us all how he had been a customs official until his government of Cambodia had changed into the hands of Pol Pot. Since he had worked as a "government official" he was sent to an "education center" to change his ways.

He told us all about the night they released him and how he ran straight home and rounded up his wife and small children. The only thing they took with them was a soup pot. He told how they had traveled by night and hid for days eating whatever they could find until they were able to sneak across the border. (I think into Thailand) He contacted somebody he had known that was US customs and they worked together, over the period of several months and got himself and immediate family to the US.

In Cambodia he had been in a rich family... in America he had literally nothing to start out with, but a family to feed. Then he told how all of his kids were now college graduates. There was not a dry eye in the house and he was speaking to kids that had a favorite jail menu.
