So a friend stopped by to help me job hunt and we're trying a new tactic. I'm going to write to lots of places that deal with autism and not try to be a human, and just tell them to hire me cuz i'm autistic and awesome and could work really well with other autistics. And see what happens.

When the kids were small they were in 4-H. One of their favorite classes at the horse shows was Costume Class. Imagine how fun it is to dress up your pony AND yourself!

At one of these shows I helped my sister dress up a 1300 pound horse as a "little lamb" complete with black stockings on his legs, black face mask we made from double knit and a wooly coat with about 15 bags of cotton balls glued to it! His little "Mary" was a tiny little blonde girl that her mom dressed to the nines in lace and ruffles with a big shepherds staff. That costume even placed at the State Fair. ;)
If my daughter was still doing 4-H, I'd suggest that she use Honey for that class. And, since she's a Haflinger, I figure she'd make a GREAT cowardly lion. Then, my daughter could have dressed up as Dorothy, and carried a stuffed dog for Toto.

Abi, I had wondered myself if using that tactic would help you get a job. Great minds think alike. :D

I think that is a great idea, look how I thought to turn to you for experience when I needed guidance with my friend? You'd be great!

Now I just have to get up the energy to do it.

I am not actually motivated lol. I just figure I should be making more than I am now since in February, I'll need to have my own place or find a job up north and move in with my Imooto. No idea though.

It's supposed to be 95 today and I have things to do. Don't wanna lol.

I just have to move my fermenting carrots to the fridge, vacuum the apartment, unload the dishes, clean the bathroom, and see how far I get on sewing.

So nothing big to do, but all of it requires leaving the fans and moving around.

Ditto. I did make it to the farmers' market but only got meat we'd already paid for. It was too hot to look for bargains and few to be had anyway.
I resorted to window a/c units.... time to fold laundry and purge toys!

Vacuumed, took out the trash, hand washed the bras, about to do the carrots and dishes. And then maybe a cold shower and sprawl for a while. I can clean the bathroom while I'm in there lol.

Did I mention it is stupid hot out?

I don't wanna turn on the AC til I'm back in my room though. It's just in the bedroom and I'm about to go back to the kitchen. Luckily, I have a good fan out there.

It is stupid hot. I am sitting in front of the fan inside right now. We did have to go to the car show in Fountain and take pictures for the paper. I brought an umbrella so I had my own shade.

Oh! And today is national ice cream day!
