No it is not lying. It is both. I read one of the reviews that said you couldn't use it for quarts to do the water bath, but that's no biggie, just use pints.

You're a lucky lady Ms. Abi. Now put on your big girl panties and start canning.

 My corn-y daughter reads Cracked all of the time as well. She is always sending me links.

I didn't know that about the O.J., but it is all starting to make more sense. I can drink my own fresh squeezed with no problem, but the "All Natural" store stuff makes my tummy sick every time. :smack

That's the pressure canner I have. It is my first one and works great! I have pressure canned quarts but it is too short to bwb them. I've never used it as a cooker. One of these days...

Yay on the cooker/canner :) I have an 18L Presto that used to be my Mom's when I was a kid and I love it.

And, I knew that about orange juice--there was a story on CBC radio about that a few years ago. I was horrified. Fortunately I hadn't had grocery store orange juice in years, because it bothered my tummy.

I will buy freshly squeezed bottled organic for my younger daughter who loves it very occasionally from the local natural foods store, but it's the real deal. The only other juice we ever drink is organic BC Okanagan Valley apple cider from the natural foods store.
