Hi.
Isn't it great when dads pay for things. LOVE that.

Any "new" learned things???? I have a tanning kit comming for Ol'Thelma. That is something I have never done before.

Hope you have a good evening.
I played that tanning game with the last two sheep we bought to butcher. Don't be afraid. My hides turned out great!!
I am so excited. I just hope I don't like it too much. :gig

The first hide I saw tanned was in the Indian fashion :) A friend was learning a bunch of native american ways before going to live on a reservation... It was awesome. Smelled very muchly lol.

I really want my sewing DONE. I just don't want to DO it.

*sighs*

I hate every part of sewing except the rare occasions when it works. But I want my stupid Halloween costume.

On the plus side, I start taking pattern making classes soon! *laughs*

Maybe if I get better at all this crap I'll like it more?

*giggles*

Other plus: knitting is awesome. Next to crochet :D

Abi! That is exactly how I feel!!!!!! Actually, once I start- I'm ok. Very hard for me to cut out the pattern! I'd also like to learn to crochet but so far don't have the patience for it. Am left handed and can't turn a corner for some reason. I have tried several tutorials on the internet to no avail. Probably why I like baking and canning. Almost instant results

hehehehe.

Okay, so once upon a time, I went to school. Anyway, my geometry teacher realized that I was hopeless. But she was one of the five good teachers I've had, and so she worked with me after school. A LOT.

She would put a problem on the board and tell me to solve it any way I wanted and I'd always get it right. Using algebra. The issue was entirely in the geometric applications.

So she sat down and helped me measure things and cut it out of paper and make 3d models to better understand. AMAZING freaking teacher. And even when she helped, the models never fit together. The measurements moved around and grew and shrank and ... just freaking CHANGED as soon as I touched it. Even SHE admitted I must shift reality pretty hard because it didn't even make sense. She watched me and could not figure out what I did wrong.

She actually gave me a revised final exam so I could pass and get back to algebra where I belonged.

Point being, me and measuring and cutting fabric is where it goes poorly. So if I take a class on fitting and have a dummy, I will have a MUCH better chance at correcting my forays into other dimensions whilst I sew.

Well, the picnic might just be me, auntie, and max. The bipolar is scared to leave the house and not sure we can pry the children from his grasp LOL.

*still trying*

1) We scheduled the picnic on a Sunday
2) Football is on a Sunday
3) He would be trapped for hours in a car full of girls not watching football

Duh! :gig

But I'm not sure he'll let us take the girls out of town. He seems to have no issue letting them go anywhere IN the springs, even if they are dangerous people. But safe people, nope, can't let them take the kids out. >.<

Gar. He made it sound all responsible. He doesn't have a car or a valid drivers license and not comfy with the girls going out of town without him and he's just too deep in hermit mode to leave the city. :he

So just me and auntie then. nyah nyah!!

Next time I'm in the Springs, we can do the family picnic thing.

Anyone else having issue with Google? My MSE anti virus said it was a malware threat and deleted it. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and same threat warning. So I guess I'm on Firefox til they fix it.
