That does sound more like the one in KC. There are actual shops and then the produce area is in the center under a big metal roof, but open air stalls.

The big one is year round too I am pretty sure. I still much prefer the littler ones around though the quality is just better. There is one a few towns south of us that I found a year or so ago that allows more variety. There is even a vendor there that sells bison meat that she raises! I just don't get down that way so often. Maybe this summer will be different.

I just hear you talking about going to the market this time of the year and miss it. :(

Yup, you said before that you used to live in Lenexa. My aunt and uncle live just south of Paola and I have another friend that lives in Overland Park area. If you still lived there you all would be close enough to hang out with. :( I am not driving to Alaska however! ;) :p

Actually, near Lawrence ;)
We plan to be down to visit the fall, but I just looked at the dates we had hoped for, and its right around goat kidding time, if my other does get bred properly after I give them copper :(
Have no idea how that will work out!

Well that is a little farther out ... still not too bad a drive. :)

I am trying to talk hubby into relocating around Emporia. I LOVE it in the prairie.

I wish! But DH guides in summer, and we will be working the streams at various times getting the freezer filled up.
I may have to have one of the girls from church farm sit for us after everyone is born.
Most everyone is very experienced with farming, so that is a workable possibility.

Nope. Well, if we drove and took the Cascades route, versus the AlCan.
Takes too long though. A week to get there versus an 8 hour flight?
