Not flu. Severe anemia.

Note to self:
When Abi craves hot blood from the jugular, she is anemic. Or playful.
When Abi cannot warm up and passes out a lot, she is anemic.
When Abi's metabolism jumps into high gear by equinoxes, she cannot switch to fats and fresh veggies only and skip eating meat for days on end.

Doubling food intake is just EASIER with fats and veggies than with meat :(

I increase my nuts and cheese too hee hee. I just don't like meat at that point and then *fwoosh* down I go.

I am thawing out burger meat for this week and buying liver today.

Auntie, I feel retarded. Didn't we go through this in October?

And why did it take me 4 weeks to notice? >.>

I just realized that when cascades make my liver shut down, I bet that makes me anemic too, which actually explains some of the odder post-cascade symptoms. I researched it and the liver holds b-12 which allows iron to do its thing. Lack of B-12 is a common cause of anemia. So liver shuts down... anemia kinda has to follow.

Can't I just find a blood donor?

ETA: For all that I'm pissed, this will make my life SO much easier. Just eat raw meat the week after cascading and I'll recover faster. No wonder trying things like serotonin didn't help hahahahahahahaha.

You could meet me Abi. I am quite used to being growled at. :D

Later, after some bacon, we could go sit somewhere quiet until you adjusted to me. Then you could play with my Sage puppy and dance. :bun Then we could watch a bit of Firefly or some Big Bang Theory while we work on designing some new Ren Fest outfits.

Yup yup, we would have a good time. :bun
Sounds great!!! And hi everyone who stopped by :)

I'll be more social in a few days when I have iron in my blood again...

I taste my blood to test blood sugar, but since I never taste iron in my blood, it's hard to monitor the anemia. Dar always said I taste like cherry kool aid. I don't really have any metal flavors in my blood. I'd starve a vampire.

Do you use cast iron cookware Abi?

A big pot of tomato based soup or chili slow cooked in a cast iron kettle is also full of iron. The acid in the tomato is supposed to leach iron from the kettle.

I do in fact!! It turns acidic foods awesome colours :D

I bought a pound of bacon for each pound of liver. 3 of each. And shallots and red onions. And I have balsamic vinegar.

I think I'll get it figured out ;)
