The festival was great! We had a blast! Sorry I haven't updated this lately....I've just been busy and have hardly had time to blog!
I was inspired at the festival though, and I have done some felting lately. I made a felted scene last night. It's on my blog, but here's a picture of it!
And I sheared the sheep. I don't have really good pics yet, but I did snap a pic of Purl and one of her lambs. She raised 2 nice big lambs this year. She's such a good mom!
There must be something wrong with my computer. I tried to leave a comment on your blog last night and each time I hit 'submit' it asked me to sign in...when I had already done so!
Anyway ~ I wanted to say that the felt design looks amazing! You did a great job!
I've been MIA lately from my journal! I'm bad at updating when I'm home, since I'd rather be doing other things than sitting in the basement (where our computer is).
I finally got the garden planted. This year I tried to keep things a little more simple and only plant things I knew we actually liked. We've got tomatoes (Rutgers, Amish Paste, Jet Star, and one other I can't remember), cukes (slicing and pickling), peppers (bell and jalepeno), yellow squash, zucchini, zephyr squash (like yellow squash, but it's half green), and then the spring stuff we've had planted. We still have room for pumpkins and winter squash, and perhaps some Indian corn.
The chickens are obliterating the wheat I was letting head out. Goofballs. And I planted a LOT of flowers this year, so I can't wait until they start blooming!
I'm getting a rabbit sometime soon, maybe this afternoon! I think she's a Silver Fox doe, or possibly an American Chinchilla or a cross of the two. She's hopefully bred. I'm excited!
And drumroll please!!! The thing I'm MOST excited about is my sheep skin! We processed a lamb (well, had it processed) in February and we just got the hide back from the tanner's!!!! Its' GORGEOUS! I love it!!!
