Another blow for the Big3?

As we remember the gas crisis in the 70s, my husband and I would never have bought an SUV or one of those big honkin trucks.

When the Big3 started advertising those SUV's...we call them Urban Assault Vehicles, We would shake our heads and say," what are they thinking?" The wealthy bought them, but other folks went to smaller cars, meaning foreign manufacturers made off.

We have the technology available to get along without GM and Chrysler, if need be. They just don't want to pay the price ofor not providing a good product at a reasonable price.
