Any uses for pumpkin guts?

The following year I saw a house with a field of pumpkins, pulled together all my courage (and all my German language skills big_smile), knocked on the door, and asked if I could buy one.

all day today i'm gonna go around and say:

entschuldigen Sie mich. haben Sie einen Krbis?

I second chickens. Good natural worm control! Becareful with compost or you'll have punkins growing in it!

I agree, only I think it's the seeds that are the dewormer....


ETA: Does anyone know if ducks like entire pumpkins--seeds and flesh--like chickens do? My neighbor has a dump pile of them in his garden that I get to take home! I also plan to talk to the local pumpkin growers to see if I can scavenge their leftovers after Halloweenn for the chickens. I'm hoping for some really nutritious eggs--even during nonforaging wintertime.
