Still gets tired very quickly.
That's hard...I know DH was afraid to exert himself after his 3xbypass and he didn't even have a heart attack. Physical therapy helped him be more aware of what he was able, and even encouraged, to do. It's scary when your body "betrays" you and for DH that was a big emotional hit.

Meds have horrible side-effects. Maybe there's an alternative that won't be so hard on her. A couple of years ago DH was on a cholesterol drug that literally almost put him in a wheelchair. He couldn't walk more than about 6 steps before his legs would just feel like lead. It was very scary. Thankfully there was an alternative med that didn't zap him so badly. Maybe there's an alternative for her that won't hit her so hard?

Any possibility her family can come ya'lls direction?

Sure hope things get better for ya'll. :fl

Travel is tricky. No direct flights, so after figuring in everything, 12 hours driving versus 8-9 hours bouncing through airports, seems a wash. Travel on her family part isnt really an option. So I continue to try to noodle it out.

I think I am just going to have to say "we are leaving on this date..."

Maybe break up the trip and stop overnight somewhere halfway? Air B&B's are a lovely and very affordable option for comfortable overnight stays now.

I remember as a child we went from the north of S.A. all the way across country to the south coast for holidays in summer. 14-16 hours on the road to get there and then the same to get back again. It was lovely for us kids, but exhausting too.

@sumi breaking it up means 4 days of travel. Lodgings aren't an issue, we have a ton of points on credit card where the stay would be free.
We will figure it out. Lololol

Stumbled upon this vid and was simply amazed! Any time in the future I feel sorry for myself due to being limited by age, strength, ability, etc. in my efforts to homestead, garden, farm, etc., I'm going to think of this guy...
