Mine have done that too. The worst was last winter when my younger hens saw snow for the first time. They all went running out of the coop/barn and pen, freaked out and went under the coop/barn and wouldn't come out. We couldn't reach them. It was cold and snowy. DH, DS and me, all on our hands and knees with rakes and long handled pool skimmers trying to shoo them out. What a nightmare! I finally got smart. Concentrate on getting the rooster out first and the hens are more likely to follow him.BarredBuff said:Normal is over rated..............I love goat stories.
