Hoping his Broody would do the job right.

AL was already hatching,
while Jamie cooked beans.

Don't take it too hard...I have never been a good hatcher either...I'd probably have more luck if I sat on em myself for 21 days...but I have better things to be doing

Last year I had two broody hens at once. I put 11 eggs under each, so I started with 22! Five hatched from the first nest and NONE from the second. A coyote ate one pullet, two were roos and I ended up getting two nice little hens out of it.

Not too bad for a first try I guess.......

I'm ready to try again but wonder if I'd have better luck with an incubator....
