All I can say is I wished you live closer so you could serve as a role model for DS! Wow!! Your chickens are all beautiful. You make me want to get Domiques again. I've only had one and it was for a short time. I think this will be a chick spring for us. We've lost two this autumn.
:fl for baby bunnies!

Thanks Henrietta!! This spring is slated to be the last chick spring for a while. I want to add 10 Buff Orpington hens and 10 Australorps and a 25 Meaties....cant wait!!
I've got 3 BOs and 1 Australorp in my little flock. I might get more buffs, but I just lost one of my 2 EEs and I miss having green eggs. I will have choosing over the winter and will end up ordering more than I should. :hide

I would like to have about 22 chickens and up to 7 ducks. I will figure it out soon.

Hmmm, I've got the 7 ducks, but only 17 chickens.... I'm almost there!

I wish I had 4 ducks. I had two pairs and the drakes were too much for the 2 females so I found 3 females. They are the most annoying things I have ever met!! But I can't get rid of them and have the drakes misbehave again... can't win!

I got my Muscovies for a meat flock. You can always cull a male and a few females. They tend to be annoying....no argument there.

Unfortunately I can't. I don't have it in me. :/ I know I know..... I'd rehome one of the drakes but we love them both. I do have a possible home for the three females if we decide to try to go back to the original 4. But this woman wants to use them to train her dogs to herd and I'm not sure if they would be treated well. I also know she's out of work at the moment and I don't know if she can afford to even feed them right now. AND they're only half runner duck so I don't know if they're even appropriate for herding. They've gotten a little quieter now that they are no longer broody.
