Autumn? Not ready for that. Still waiting for the tomatoes to ripen. I do have three large orange pumpkins already. :p

Morning yesterday did have that fall feeling to it, though.

I hope not, I want to get at least one, maybe two, more batch of meaties in the freezer.

Haven't done any corn yet either. Been freezing chopped peppers in anticipation of salsa making.

The corn is 3/4 done, the late patch will finish our supply off. Then this week is green beans, were hoping for a 104 quarts. Then spaghetti sauce after that, then tomatoes, then hopefully veggie soup, and any unknown new thoughts :D

I keep forgetting you are 2-4 weeks ahead of me.

One thing we should have plenty of is black beans... :D

I did have yellow squash fried in bacon grease last night for dinner!

Im not that far ahead.........but in the Mountains here we will ahve fall fairly early. Two trees are changing they usually dont till September.......

Im not that far ahead.........but in the Mountains here we will ahve fall fairly early. Two trees are changing they usually dont till September.......
The geographic distance, as well as the late, late plantings here puts me about a month behind. Only the farmers who had their corn on hilltops around here have fresh sweet corn. Most is still yet to be ready to pick. Parts of my garden were planted 6 weeks later than I prefer.

Question: What all do you produce? A neighbor just visited and mom was talkin to him and they were talking how much groceries are. Ours were half. So I was thinking about how I much we produce?

So here is what I got:
Butter
Buttermilk
Eggs
Chicken
Duck
Rabbit (coming soon)
Feed Corn
Sunflowers for Chickens
Green Beans
Sweet Corn
Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Tomatoes and their Products
Peppers
Okra
Carrots
Cabbage
Lettuce
Pumpkins
Winter Squash/Gourds
Apples
Pears
Blackberries
Honey (hopefully this year)

Next years tentavive list is:
Yellow Squash (I've fell in love with it and its SOO good fried)
More Substantial Onions
Milk (I have feeling some goats may show up due to recent events :D )

Well, I produce:

eggs
milk
yellow squash
zucchini
basil
mint
sage
thyme
tomatoes and hopefully this year their products
corn
winter squash (butternut, acorn, delicata)
onions (green, yellow and red)
garlic
leeks
green beans
broccoli
lettuce
spinach
kale
swiss chard
collard greens
peas

I'd love to do rabbits, but we just got our first milk goat and with my DH, I have to take baby steps... :D The funny thing is that we have everything we need set up already! Just need to get a couple of rabbits and a bag of feed! *sigh* I'll get their eventially :D

Do you already have rabbits and are waiting to breed or butcher? or are you planning on getting rabbits soon?
