Speaking of pigs...my pig is in hog heaven with all the canning going on, he gets all the little cut off bits and is lovin it :D i love that there is no waste whatsoever and with what I would usually compost I am makin bacon instead ;)

I ALWAYS give the chickens my scraps from food or canning, and it actually makes the hens look better and boosts production. Are you canning any of your pork?
