I was never so happy as when I gave up on wanting an education that involved classes and degrees LOL.

I don't care that I'll never get a real job or be more than a phone jockey til I am forced to retire and suicide bomb a building so I don't have to live on the streets. (What? Don't you all have retirement plans?!?)

My view on a formal education is: Hi I'm a tool who is willing to plod through THIS MUCH red tape and go THIS FAR into debt to prove that I will do the same for you if you hire me!

This isn't helped by having a brother in law who teaches anatomy at a medical college and is told to make his classes easier to pass or the pre-meds will go to a different school.

I'm not bitter that I had a great education until I hit public schools or that I've never scored any financial aid for school or that pre-requisites hit every autistic button I have. *laughing*

All the jobs I'd most love would require a LOT of schooling, too. *sighs*

I'm not the school sort. *shrugs* It all makes me furious. At the very best of times, I have the social issue of not being able to figure out what the teacher really wants when they give assignments. Most teachers don't like my version of research papers and essays LOL.

I can't help that I try to find interesting things to write about! It's always on topic. It's just obscure.

I've had a few great teachers. I had one who understood that when I said I cannot memorize dates, I meant, I cannot memorize dates. I approached him on this by asking why he required me to do so. His explanation was that it showed I knew the sequence and had read the material. So I asked if I could write an essay, instead, showing the sequencing. Thus proving I was not trying to get out of the work, he agreed. My best history scores ever. Those dates had always kept me at C level. And HE liked my obscure topics.

Howdy there guys and gals, I guess its time to update. The ice is still on the ground and trees. Its snowing a little right now. The chicken/duck poop was extra stinky this morning so I herded everyone out then I shovel some poop. And changed the straw. I really have nothing to write about. NOTHING. Except that we are headed to Lexington tommorow for some last minute Christmas stuff. Well thats all BB.

If you're bored do you have your garden plans drawn up? Know what seeds you're planting when and where? Worked out the details on meat chickens?

I went to TSC and found a great book about "Country Wisdom" or something... it has TONS of fun stuff in it. I can't wait to spend a cold rainy night reading!

Thanks AL! Quite sadly I have all of that drafted out. Me and Granny already done the seed orders. Ive also got a pretty good idea on the meat chickens. Im anxious for them, I cant wait!!

I do have a new book to pick thru. Basic Country Skills. I need to do a little Bible reading also. Might do that here soon.

I hate being bored, BarredBuff LOL. Today is my chore day and I'm bored with it. I am waiting for my sister to get here for a slumber party though. Waiting makes me bored.
