Hey guys and gals! We have 6 inches of snow and its uber cold and windy. Today I have been very self sufficient in the rabbit feeding department. They got lots of branches, some sprouts, then I made them a cold weather mash with my grinder!!!

I mized 3/4 BOSS and 1/4 Corn then ground it really fine because they wont eat the whole grain/seed. But they seemed to like it.

Me and Auntie tagged the duck that got away from us last night. She cut me open when I caught her, I told her I'd would remember her contrary behavior. She may be my first duck kill this is the second time she has cut me. She will pay for it!! MWHAHAHAHA!!!

We didnt have Church today. So we did it over the cell phone again. Creation to the Flood this time. Good stories. Abraham is next.

How is everyone doing?

Sorry I missed the group earlier today. I was out tending to the hens and reached for something and tweaked my neck pretty bad. Some ibuprofen and heat and it's a better now, but it did lay me up for the day.

We're getting the wonderful lake effect snow again and it feels like the temp has dropped 20 degrees since morning.

Hello guys. Im really pe'od at the dog. He just destroyed a Dom hen he got her by the neck and she didnt die. So I killed her then me and Granny processed her. We willl be frying her for lunch on Wednesday. Waste not want not

But Im torn on what to do about the dog. Me and mom got into a fight over it and I told her that if he makes another kill he is gone. Im not putting up with a chicken killin dog. Even though it is the chickens fault for flying up in his kennel but I dont want him if hes gonna do this.

The sickest thing about it is that I took her leg band off and put it back the box.

I think Im gonna put a kennel panel over the top of his kennel so they dont get up there anymore. There is another one that does this. So she is probably next.

Bee I feel your pain.

James, I'd be getting a top on that kennel tomorrow. I won't keep a chicken killing dog either, but don't argue with your mom!! If you knew the birds would fly up there why haven't you corrected it already? It's not the dogs fault. It's not your mom's fault. It just is what it is...a chicken did something stupid and got itself killed. It happens Sorry for your loss though
