We plant eight 45 foot rows each year of pure heirlooms and they are the BEST.
What do you do with them?
I know what I'd do....tomato sandwiches, salads, paste, sauce, whole tomatoes, salsa, ketchup, spaghetti sauce, chilli sauce, veggie soup base...need more ideas? :drool
:plbb ow ow ow :plbb

I ask, because different tomatoes are better suited for different things as we all know. I grow Roma's for my sauces , Beefsteaks for eating raw (salads and sandwiches), and Better Boys for just about everything else. We mostly can tomatoes for juice (for recipes that call for paste and water), salsa, and freezing.

I'm just now going through my wishlist for 'maters and thought I might try something new this year. :plbb

If you have breed/variety names, I'd appreciate the info.
